Infinity 4032cf Features

Plus One woofer cones
This patent pending technology deliver a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.

True Four Ohms
All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.

Edge-driven textile dome tweeters
These are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer.

Tweeter level adjustment
The 4032cf also features a tweeter level adjustment located on the front of the speaker and can be set at the reference level of 0dB. If the speakers are located low in the doors or if you are looking for a brighter sound, set the tweeter at +3dB.

Rubber surrounds
This material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge, adding stronger low-end.

Very Clear but needs Bass Blockers : Infinity Reference 4032cf 4-Inch, 105-Watt High Performance Two-Way Loudspeaker (Pair)

The first pair they sent me was damaged, I contacted the seller and I was immediately issued an RA and a shipping label, sent them back and a new pair arrived around a week week and a half later in perfect condition.

Once installed they sound excellent, but, you need bass blockers for these. They cannot handle my stock stereo and distort when playing the stereo at high volume. I dont listen to hip hop or rap or any of that garbage so I am not riding around bumping or anything but I do enjoy loud music. I replaced all of the speakers in my 2006 Scion Xb with Infinity Reference speakers. 6 1/2" component speakers in the front doors, 5 1/2" Coaxils in the back and these in the dash. Everything is clear and crisp but these definetly cannot handle very much bass. So I order Schosche Bass blockers and will install them when they arrive.

WORD OF ADVICE: Do not beleive Amazons "See if it fits" feature.....It was wrong on 2 out of 3 of the speakers. It told me these wouldnt fit, Cruthcfield and other sites told me they would. Amazon said the 6 1/2" wouldnt fit in my front doors and I needed the 5 1/2" speakers so I ordered those and fortunately I live close to the shipper and was able to drive there and exchange them for the correct size.

Overall, Infinity makes a great, clear and awesome speaker.
